All monkeys have eyes set in the front of their heads, giving them binocular vision and the ability to judge distance and depth. All monkeys in this family are arboreal (tree-dwelling) and feed primarily on leaves, fruit, and insects. Most monkeys give birth to one baby at a time. The amount of time the young is nursed by the mother varies from two weeks to two years depending on the species.
